Concept Art: A lowered kite, cloudy weather and a much smaller explosion were the initial ideas for the short.
The Foundation
The idea of Kite started around December 2021, which eventually led to cancelling, or at least postponing 2 other animation projects. A story about a girl playing with her kite, in the middle of an active combat zone. The goal was to make a short with a single character, no dialogue and one big event unfolding in front of the character.
